What can I say, guess what.it works, can't ask for anythin more. Here we go again.
It will just duplicate the one you have. Whatever the case is, this product won't break the bank if you're just trying it out.PS - This product will NOT give you two desktops. So this cable works, the price is right, but I don't know whether my signal issues are due to the cable or my computer.
But, the quality of the picture on my 17" LCD computer monitor shows noticeable signal degradation. Or, as a comp. It got three stars because it "works." I used it to split to my 42" HDTV and the picture quality was perfect.
programmer friend of mine suggested, my video card is just not strong enough (all i have is a standard Dell). You need a special video card if you want that feature. This might be due to the cable.
Or, this could be due to the fact I split the signal.
The price was fantastic, and the shipping was very quick,, will buy here again. I bought this cable for my teacher, and even though it was the wrong one, I did find another use for it, and it is great.
Works great for when we run HULU or Netflix Instant on the TV. Bought this to split between monitor and 42in TV. Have not experienced any picture loss.
Overall, this cable did not satisfy our needs. Horizontal lines appeared that made it nearly impossible to read the screen. I purchased this item so that I could connect my lcd tv and my pc monitor continuously, without crawling behind the computer to change cords every time we wanted to use the lcd tv. The quality on the 30" lcd tv is fine - no problem viewing; however, the 20" lcd pc monitor picture quality was terrible.
